I started my career in my home town of Newcastle as a registered nurse at Gateshead NHS Foundation Trust. I have been working within private healthcare for 10 years and have held senior leadership posts in some of the top hospitals in London. I am passionate about caring for people and providing the highest level of service within a safe environment. In my role as Head of Operational Management I am responsible for the private patient unit, including patient journey governance, at Chelsea and Westminster Trust covering Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, West Middlesex University Hospital and the Kensington Wing. I would like to add a huge thank you to the entire team for all that they have done during the lockdown period and always ensuring that our patients safety is the highest priority.

I am thrilled to be the team leader for the Midwifery Led Care package, an award winning service which truly holds the needs of the mother and baby at the heart of its care. My role as your midwife is to work alongside you and your family to provide evidence based care and advice, which will empower you to make your own choices about your birth. I am experienced in Waterbirth, Hypnobirth and aromatherapy use during pregnancy. As a Lactation consultant (IBCLC) I am also ready to support you in the transition to parenthood and the extra tips which sometimes needed in those early days. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you through this beautiful time.

Throughout my career I have always been passionate in supporting normal birth and providing holistic, individualised care to women and their families. I believe that continuity of care and a trusting relationship with your midwife can enhance your experience of pregnancy and birth. I am skilled in water birth and complementary therapies, and love nothing more than creating a calm, relaxed environment to support you through your birth experience. Chelsea and Westminster has been my home since I qualified. I have rotated through all clinical areas, been Lead Midwife for Perinatal Mental Health, Lead Midwife for a Maternity Support Worker Development Project, and Lead Midwife for the Midwifery-Led Care team and now Interim Matron. I love leading the Midwifery-Led Team and strive to deliver the best birthing experience possible.

Over the past six years of my career, my passion about individualised and women centred care has grown, which is why I believe that being part of the Midwife-Led Care team at The Kensington Wing is where I can work to my full potential. Low risk care is something I feel extremely enthusiastic about and a large part of my role is to be an advocate for you, which is why I have chosen to qualify as a Hypnobirthing teacher. I look forward to meeting you during one of the most special times in your lives and supporting you to make your experience the best it could possibly be.

I am committed to providing compassionate and women-centred care. One of my passions is antenatal education, as I believe this can empower women to make the best choice for both them and their baby. I also enjoy supporting a natural and positive birth experience and particularly enjoy facilitating water births. I enjoy building relationships with expectant families and caring for them throughout this special time.

I feel very privileged to work in such a close and caring team. I take massive pride in being an MLC midwife, we strive in putting our clients at the heart of their care and create individualised plans together. My role as your midwife is to empower you and your family to make the right choices for you, I aim to do this by ensuring you feel confident and knowledgeable with up-to-date evidence based practice. I thoroughly enjoy all types of midwifery, especially supporting women in alternative methods of pain relief such as the Birthing Pool, and Aromatherapy which we can discuss and explore antenatally in preparation. I’m excited to welcome you to the team, and thrilled to be sharing this special time with you and your family.

Working as part of the MLC team in The Kensington Wing enables me to provide women and their families with a comprehensive patient centered approach to care. Its truly special to be a part of a families journey at this exciting and special time. One of my many interests is providing high quality safe labour care to women and their families whilst taking a holistic approach. I am also interested in the use of aromatherapy in midwifery and teaching our private parent education classes. Outside of work I enjoy socialising with friends, cooking and spending time outdoors!
